DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
TO APPLY FOR VISA:

A passport valid for no
less than 30 days after the expiry of the
intended visit + copy of the passport.

A fully completed
application form, signed by applicant.
-
One recent 4X6cm
photograph facing the camera with white
background.

Prescribed fee where
applicable.
Visa Exempt countries.
The visa is issued FREE FOR EGYPTIAN
CITIZENS and against payment of LE 300 for
other nationals who are not exempted from
visa fees.

Proof of financial means
(at least three-month Bank statement) to
cover envisaged living expenses during the
sojourn in the Republic of South Africa.

Proof of booking of
travel ticket (onward/return ticket).

Proof of accommodation
(hotel reservation)/ Letter of invitation
from the South African contact or host.

Supporting documentation
confirming the purpose and duration
of visit. Original supporting documents
including official English translations must
be attached to each application.

Passengers in transit to
another country must submit proof that they
will be admitted to their country of
destination.

Vaccination certificate,
if required- when travelling through the
yellow fever belt.

Letter from the employer
confirming employment/students- a letter
from the educational institution.

In respect of minor
dependent children subject to guardianship
or custody, proof of such
guardianship/custody and unaccompanied
minors consent from the guardian/parents.
Visas will normally be
processed within 5 working days.
In case an application needs to be referred to
South Africa or another Mission for approval, it
will take longer to finalize.
Applicants must submit all
the required documents even if they have been
granted a visa previously.
No fixed travel arrangements
must be made prior to the issuing of visa.
The Embassy has the right to
request additional information at any time.
